Terms & conditions
This page sets out the terms and conditions that apply to purchases made from LA Mattress Store (LA Mattress Store, Inc. dba Los Angeles Mattress Stores, "LA Mattress", "we", "us", or "our") at any of our five Los Angeles showrooms or through our website at www.mattressstoreslosangeles.com. By placing an order or completing a purchase, you agree to these terms.

1. Sales final-ness
All sales at LA Mattress Store are final once delivery is complete, with two exceptions:
- Mattresses eligible for the 120-night Love Your Bed Guarantee may be exchanged once during the trial window, subject to the terms below.
- Defective product covered by the manufacturer warranty may be repaired or replaced under the brand's warranty terms.
2. Final-sale items (not eligible for exchange or return)
The following products are final sale and are not eligible for the comfort exchange:
- Adjustable bed bases
- Pillows
- Sheets, pillowcases, and bedding
- Mattress and pillow protectors
- Comforters and duvets
- Box springs and foundations
- Special-order or custom-sized products (Chattam & Wells handcrafted, special-order Stearns & Foster Reserve, custom RV / boat sizing, etc.)
- Outlet, clearance, "as-is", or floor-sample mattresses
Final-sale items are clearly marked at the time of purchase. Floor samples and clearance items are priced lower precisely because the comfort exchange has been waived; both the product page and your receipt indicate the waived status before you confirm the order.
3. 120-Night Love Your Bed Guarantee
Every mattress we sell (except the final-sale categories listed above) is backed by our 120-Night Love Your Bed Guarantee — a one-time comfort exchange covering the "this isn't right for my body" case. Summary:
- You must sleep on the mattress for a minimum of 30 nights before initiating an exchange. The break-in period gives the bed time to settle and your body time to adjust to a new feel.
- If, after 30 nights and within 120 nights of delivery, the mattress isn't right, contact us to start the exchange.
- You may exchange the mattress one time per purchase for any other mattress currently in stock.
- If the replacement costs more, you pay the price difference. If it costs less, we refund the difference to your original payment method.
- No restocking fee. No shipping fee. No re-delivery fee. White-glove pickup of the original mattress and delivery + setup of the replacement is included.
- The mattress must be in Like New condition — free of stains, soil, discoloration, rips, tears, burns, and unsanitary conditions. Use a mattress protector from night one to keep the exchange option intact (California's mattress recycling program rejects stained mattresses, which voids the exchange).
Floor samples, clearance, and final-sale categories listed in Section 2 are not eligible for the comfort exchange.
4. Manufacturer warranty
Every mattress is backed by the manufacturer's warranty (typically 10 years; up to 25 years on select brands such as Harvest and Diamond). The manufacturer warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship — sagging beyond the manufacturer's threshold, broken coils, seam or stitching failure, and foam delamination.
The manufacturer warranty does NOT cover comfort preference (that's what the 120-Night Love Your Bed Guarantee is for), normal softening over time, stains, burns, tears, mattresses on unsupported foundations, or mattresses with the law tag removed. Full details on our Warranty page.
5. Promotional items and bundles
Any promotional item or gift-with-purchase is conditional on retaining the original purchase. If the original purchase is exchanged or returned, the retail value of the promotional item is deducted from the available exchange credit or refund.
Example: if you bought a mattress + received free pillows as a promotional bundle, and you later exchange the mattress for a less expensive model, the value of the free pillows is deducted from the refund of the price difference. The pillows stay with you; the value is reconciled.
6. Delivery and pickup
All product returns or exchanges approved under Section 3 must use our white-glove delivery service or be returned to the designated LA Mattress Store distribution center we direct you to. You may not ship mattresses or large bedding items back to us via third-party carriers — they typically arrive damaged and the carrier won't accept liability. Our delivery team handles the pickup as part of the exchange appointment.

7. Pricing and price match
Prices are quoted at the time of order and are subject to change without notice. If you find the same mattress at a lower advertised price at an authorized retailer within 30 days of your purchase, our Low Price Guarantee beats the competitor's price by 10%. 8. Payment and financing
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH bank transfer, and PayPal. 0% APR financing is available through Synchrony (traditional retail) or Acima (lease-to-own with soft credit pull) on approved credit. Financing terms vary by purchase amount and partner; full disclosures are provided at the time of application.
Promotional 0% APR financing requires payment in full by the end of the promotional period. Balances remaining at the end of the promo period are subject to deferred interest from the original purchase date at the standard APR. We help you set up automatic payments at the time of purchase to avoid deferred interest.
9. California mattress recycling fee
California State Law (AB 818) requires retailers to collect a per-piece mattress recycling fee on every mattress, box spring, foundation, and adjustable-base component sold. The fee is set by the state, itemized as a separate line at checkout, and funds the statewide recycling program. We do not control the fee amount; it is mandated and remitted to the California Mattress Recycling Council.
10. Sales tax
California sales tax is collected on all taxable items based on the delivery address. Tax-exempt buyers (e.g., qualifying nonprofits, government agencies, certain hospitality businesses) must provide a valid California resale or exemption certificate before order completion; tax already collected cannot be refunded without the certificate.
11. Order confirmation and acceptance
Receipt of an order confirmation email does not constitute acceptance of your order. Acceptance occurs when payment is processed and the order is scheduled for delivery. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including product unavailability, pricing errors, or suspected fraud. If we cancel your order, any payment processed will be refunded in full.
12. Shipping and delivery limitations
Free white-glove delivery is available on orders over $499 within our LA service area (see Delivery page for coverage). Orders below the free-delivery threshold or outside the service area incur a flat-rate delivery fee quoted at checkout. We do not guarantee specific delivery dates or windows on custom-order or special-order mattresses (Chattam & Wells handcrafted, special-order Stearns & Foster Reserve, etc.), which require 1–3 weeks to build before delivery.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by California law, LA Mattress Store's liability for any claim arising from the sale, delivery, or use of a product is limited to the purchase price of that product. We are not liable for incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including (without limitation) damages for loss of sleep, loss of work, or personal injury claims that fall outside the manufacturer's product-liability coverage.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited under California or federal law.
14. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes arising out of these terms or out of any purchase from LA Mattress Store are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California. Some brand-specific warranties (notably Stearns & Foster) include binding arbitration clauses; those terms are spelled out in the brand's warranty card and are separate from the LA Mattress Store terms here.
15. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy. By placing an order you consent to the data collection and use described in that policy. California residents may exercise their CCPA / CPRA rights via our Your Privacy Choices page.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the bottom of this page. The terms in effect at the time of your order govern that purchase.
