Natural Talalay latex is a fundamentally different material from memory foam. It is harvested from trees, not synthesized in a lab. It breathes, bounces, and lasts longer. The Lucille is Diamond's flagship natural latex mattress.
Natural Talalay Latex
Harvested from rubber trees and processed using the Talalay method for consistent open-cell structure. Naturally hypoallergenic, antimicrobial, and resistant to dust mites. Lasts 15-20 years without developing the body impressions that shorten memory foam lifespan.
Sleeps Cooler Than Memory Foam
The open-cell structure of Talalay latex allows continuous airflow through the material. Unlike memory foam, which traps heat in its closed-cell structure, latex dissipates heat naturally. Combined with organic wool and cotton layers, the Lucille sleeps noticeably cooler.
Responsive, Not Slow-Recovery
Latex bounces back immediately when you change position. Memory foam slowly conforms and slowly releases. If you move frequently during the night or dislike the sinking feeling of memory foam, latex provides cushioning without the trapped sensation.

My husband is a heavier sleeper & also has Parkinson, making it very important to get a mattress that can maintain its support while offering ease of repositioning. We have tried many higher priced mattresses that would break down just after the short lived warranty ran out. This is soooo comfortable from day one for him & myself, it is absolutely worth the price!!! Do not hesitate on this latex mattress!!! So glad I did my homework before purchasing again.
