This dual-coil design provides targeted, precise support that adapts zone by zone across your body. It's significantly more responsive and durable than standard pocketed coil systems, and it's exclusive to Stearns & Foster.
Estate is the entry point into the S&F lineup — genuine luxury quality with IntelliCoil® springs, starting at $1,899. Lux Estate adds enhanced comfort layers including cashmere blends and additional foam tiers, starting at $3,099. Reserve is the pinnacle — hand-tufted, thicker build, finest materials including genuine cashmere, silk, and merino wool, starting at $4,699. All three are genuinely luxury mattresses; the difference is in the depth and quality of comfort layers.
Pillow top models add an extra sewn-on cushion layer on top of the mattress, giving a softer, more plush initial feel. If you prefer sinking into your mattress slightly or sleep on your side, pillow top is usually the better choice. If you prefer a cleaner, flatter surface or sleep on your stomach, a standard model is typically better. Note: pillow top mattresses require deep-pocket sheets (15"–20") due to their extra height.
Yes. Stearns & Foster has been handcrafting mattresses in the United States since 1846 — over 175 years. Each mattress is assembled by hand with genuine premium materials. This is a key part of what differentiates S&F from mass-produced imports at similar price points.
Stearns & Foster mattresses range from 13.5" to 17" in height — significantly taller than the standard 10"–12" mattress. Standard sheets (with 12"–14" pockets) will likely slip off or not fit. You'll need deep-pocket sheets with 15"–20" pocket depth. We recommend confirming your specific model's height before purchasing sheets.
Yes — every Stearns & Foster mattress we carry is fully compatible with adjustable bases. The IntelliCoil® innerspring system is engineered to flex naturally with head and foot articulation. Pairing an S&F with an adjustable base is one of the most popular luxury sleep setups we sell.
Every Stearns & Foster purchased from us comes with a 120-night comfort trial. Sleep on it for at least 30 nights — your body needs time to adjust to a new sleep surface. If you're not satisfied after 30 nights, call us and we'll arrange a free exchange or return. No restocking fees. We handle pickup at no charge.
