A hybrid mattress combines a pocketed coil innerspring system with foam comfort layers. The coils provide support, bounce, airflow, and edge support — things all-foam mattresses can't match. They're fundamentally different products. Helix is a hybrid mattress — pocketed coils + foam — with a bouncy, responsive feel, excellent airflow, and strong edge support. Tempur-Pedic is an all-foam or foam-dominant mattress — you sleep 'in' it with deep body-contouring and very slow response. Helix is better if you sleep hot, want more bounce, move around at night, or prefer a more traditional feel. Tempur-Pedic is better for deep pressure relief, especially hip and shoulder issues for side sleepers. Both are quality brands — it comes down to feel preference. Yes. All Helix mattresses ship free — compressed in a box, delivered by FedEx or UPS. When you buy from LA Mattress, we also offer White Glove delivery: we unbox it, set it up in your room, and remove your old mattress. White Glove is available for an additional fee. The mattress typically expands to full size within 2–4 hours; give it 24 hours for the full expansion and off-gassing to complete.

Helix is available in Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, and California King — with the exception of the Kids model (Twin and Twin XL only). The Helix Plus model is specifically engineered for sleepers over 250 lbs. It uses a reinforced coil system and denser foam layers to prevent sag and maintain proper spinal alignment at higher body weights. If you're over 250 lbs and shopping for any other model, we'd recommend considering Plus or Plus Elite for long-term durability.
