Loss of mattress warranty

The standard mattress warranty period (similar to other products) is 2 years from the date of purchase. However, mattress manufacturers usually offer a longer warranty period. Materasso provides up to 10 years warranty on some models. In addition, each manufacturer specifies warranty terms, so the warranty becomes void if the mattress is not used in accordance with them. An example of a situation where a warranty is lost is poor selection of the grate: e.g. if a fixed grate is used for the foam mattress, or if the pocket mattress is placed on a positionable grate, the slats of which are spaced apart (over 4 centimeters) apart.
